Important Details
Check-in is at 4PM. We ask everyone departs the house for check-out by 10AM.
There is a $500 refundable security deposit that covers any damages up to $500.
At our Semi- Oceanfront home, we only allow hypoallergenic, non-shedding dogs, to keep the house safe for guests with pet allergies. If you would like to bring dogs along for your travel, please contact us directly with the description and pictures of your dog for approval.
We have a team of people employed who work very hard to keep our house, pool, yard and equipment clean and in tip top shape. We ask our guests to remember that this is our home and to please enjoy it like it is your home while you are there! Sometimes things happen when we least expect them and our team is only a text/call away if any questions or needs arrive during your stay.
The beds are made with fresh linens when you arrive and bath/hand towels are provided. Please plan to bring your own beach towels for pool/beach/hot tub.
Pool and Hot Tub are open from May - mid October.
Payment Info
We require 50% of your total as a down payment upon booking. Your reservation will not be confirmed until we receive your payments, either by check or Venmo.
45 days before your stay, the remaining balance is due.
Reservations are refundable up to 180 days before arrival. After that, reservation payments are non-refundable. We recommend purchasing trip insurance to protect your vacation investment.
Your $500 security deposit will be refunded within a week after your stay, given there are no issues with the house after your departure.
There will be a $150 pet fee per dog (max of 2). At our Semi-Oceanfront home, we accept hypoallergenic, non shedding dogs, on a case by case basis, only. Please reach out to discuss before booking. The Soundfront home is pet free.
About us:
In 2020, we chose to find the positives and embark on an adventure we had always hoped to embrace. We have been blessed with a large family (4 kids) and my mother living with us for the last 15 years of her life. When Nana passed away at the wonderful age of 95, we wanted to have a special place to continue to gather as an extended family. Barbara "loves a project" so we purchased our first home, Destination OBX: Semi-Oceanfront, in late 2020. We set out to make it more than just a beach house rental, but a family vacation experience, a special place to gather with loved ones to make memories. This house is Nana's legacy to us and we hope it will be the back drop to a fantastic experience for your OBX vacations for years to come! In May of 2021, we had the opportunity to join with college friends to purchase a home in the Village at Nags Head Community. Over the many years of traveling to the OBX beaches together, both families have not only found a love for the ocean, but an equal love for the Albemarle Sound after a long day at the beach. We enjoy the opportunity to kayak, go standup paddle boarding and to just sit and watch the sunset! So we purchased our second home, Destination-OBX: Soundfront. This home and community are stunning! Rest assured that both of our properties will be constantly improved and kept up to date, just as we would expect when we rent from someone else. With a team of special people, we prefer to self manage our properties so we can provide exceptional service and well maintained homes. We hope you notice the difference!
